IPH5201 (CD39 mAb): initiation of Phase 2 clinical trial MATISSE

Lyon, France, February 24th, 2023 – OREGA Biotech announces the start of MATISSE, a Phase II multicentre, open-label, non-randomised study of neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment with IPH5201 and durvalumab in patients with resectable, early-stage (II to IIIA) non-small cell lung cancer.

The trial will enrol approximately 70 patients receiving IPH5201 combined with durvalumab plus standard chemotherapy before surgery, followed by continued IPH5201 and durvalumab treatment after surgery.

About IPH5201

IPH5201 is a humanised monoclonal antibody targeting CD39. OREGA Biotech licensed the program exclusively to Innate Pharma in 2016, and it was partnered with AstraZeneca in 2018. AstraZeneca previously conducted a Phase 1 dose-escalation trial evaluating IPH5201 alone or with durvalumab in advanced solid tumours.
